Slarks Dyno Day

30th January

A early convoy left waitrose for neils at 8:30. A great day had by all. 5 minis from the club took part. There were around 12 minis taking part but we were early (before neil!) and benefited from going first. Mini magazine had sent a photographer for a feature in a future issue. Robins Midas producing an impresive 83Bhp, Pete and Em's Mpi cooper 67 bhp, Bex's mini with 55 bhp to start and after neil worked his magic a second run of 65Bhp. Marks mini produced 82 Bhp after a tune up from 65 Bhp! My mini OCD spred dog poo over the workshop, smelt and produced 56Bhp. All round the minis performed as expected and fun was had by all that took part and also Dave Ince, John, Chris, Terry, Iain and Nicki who came to spectate. We then went in convoy to the V.a.T free day at Steve Harris's and took benefit of the discount from Brenda, but unfortunatly we were to late for steve demonstration.

Thank you to Neil for a great event and the tune ups!

We had 13 teams set of from The bull at downton. With the first stage heading through the lanes around Alderholt and Cranbourne, finishing for a lovly lunch at The Inn On The Chase at cashmore. The second stage headed through Six-penny Handly and on down the broadchalk valley, ending at the Greyfisher. First went to Jackie and her friend in their Green Japenesse mini. Although it was a three way tie was Chris and Tiff in the Escourt and Phil, Caroline and Dillon in the Toybota (Yes they did have some brakes!) But the winners Mug had to go to the mini Drivers! sorry to the others. The Last but not lost mug went to Andrew and co in his Green X reg mini. It was a great day raising another £65 for the club charity fund. Thanks to all those who took part, especially the Three minis from Magic Minis who travelled over to us (Looking forward to being invited on one of there night rallies!) All reported to have a good day, but i think most cars need a good clean after the muddy roads! And yes we did have our first new mini at an event!
